In the 1960's, the automobile democratizes itself and becomes a symbol of freedom. Two models, the 2CV and the 4L, fight each other fiercely to become French people's favorite small car. Agressive advertizing campaigns, industrial spying, plagiarism... Citroën and Renault fight each other in an epic war with a single goal: to conquer the brand new and growing market of the people's car.
At the beginning, the 2CV seduces rural and traditional France while the 4L goes along with an urban, young, feminized and open on the world mutating France. Always eying each other, wheel against wheel, both small cars are going to build their myth throughout the great roads of the world, from Kaboul to the Ténéré desert.
60 years later, the 2CV and the 4L are still in French's hearts.
