A First World War major remembrance site, the Verdun Citadel, with its 7km of underground galleries, is subject to a new visitor trail. Drôle de Trame directed 3 interactive multimedia which explore this highly sophisticated logistical base.
The first one goes back in time from a 3D reconstruction of the Citadel. The visitor can make it evolve throughout the centuries and discovers its different stages of fortification. A geolocalized photographic report also gives the opportunity to discover some of the Citadel's unreachable locations.
The second multimedia takes the younger audience into an interactive and entertaining comic book. Through 4 missions, they discover the soldiers' everyday life in the Citadel in 1916, starting point and comfort place of the troops.
Finally, an interactive map explains the impressive logistics organization behind Verdun's front in 1916.
