Berthe Morisot forged close ties with Bougival, where she painted some forty of her works. Her house has been completely refurbished as a museum space, with a sensitive and lively scenography.

Drôle de Trame's audiovisuals and multimedia are creatively integrated into the scenography, playing with the objects and furnishings of the house: screens on the bedside table, a magic mirror in the bedroom revealing portraits painted by Berthe Morisot, slideshows inserted into the plates on the dining room table, a painter's easel whose canvas is a large screen, or an immersive film, made up of her works, projected onto a bay window, which plays with the transparencies of the glass...

5 multimedia presentations help visitors analyze Berthe Morisot's works, providing keys to understanding her palette, her touch, her colors, her models and her world.

Ambient soundtracks and an audio book accompany visitors as they immerse themselves in this 19th-century bourgeois home.

At the end of the tour, in a dedicated room, a 10-minute documentary film is shown to the public. Using footage shot in Bougival and motion design, the film provides a sensitive understanding of the importance of this Seine valley in the history of painting, from the birth of Impressionism to Fauvism.
