Louvre Abu Dhabi, Rendez-vous in Paris

The exhibition is dedicated to the School of Paris and how significant the contribution of foreign-born artists was for the parisian art world at the turn of the 20th century. (Picasso, Chagall, Soutine, Modigliani...)

Drôle de Trame made 4 devices:

• Immersive projection Brancusi's workshop: this film is made of photos and films by Brancusi. Screened on three walls, Jean-Damien Charrière's film immerses the visitor in a poetic recomposition of Brancusi's workshop, which he saw as a piece of art in itself. The sound creation is made of musics he used to listen to. 

• Two touch tables invite the visitor to discover the painters' color palettes with a chromatic wheel they have to spin; but also a map which highlights the artists' international paths. The devices are complemented with short texts and archive documents.

• In an alcove, a soundtrack evokes the musical creation between 1900 and 1939 through extracts by Satie, Bechet, Stravinsky, Poulenc...It comes with a digital label.
